A tiny sparrow cast forth from the egg without the shell fully broken and without as yet having stepped forth utters a sparrow’s cry; even so, novice Bodhisattvas in the membrane of ignorance, without breaking the illusion of a self or stepping forth from the triple world, utter the cry of a Buddha: the cry of emptiness, unconditional and untrammeled.
