Other people act in our dreams, and often they are people whom we know in waking life. After we wake up, we do not hold them responsible for those actions. We understand that it is our dream; we dreamt it.
Our waking-life perceptions are also like dreams because they are our perceptions. Our perceptions do not come from outside; they are internal mental representations —the products of our sensory limitations, emotional distortions, and conceptual biases.
