The Nature of Mindfulness

Image result for nagasenaAs mindfulness springs up in their hearts, practitioners search out the categories of wholesome qualities and their opposites, saying to themselves: “Such and such qualities are virtuous, and such are not; such and such qualities are beneficial, and such the reverse.”

Thus, do they abandon the unwholesome in themselves, and retain what is wholesome. That is the nature of mindfulness.
