Before Death

Image result for buddhaBefore we die, seekers of virtue must cultivate these eleven:

What are those eleven? Non-attachment; loving-kindness for all sentient beings; totally giving up all resentment; confessing all violated ethical discipline; perfectly undertaking ethical conduct; broad-mindedness, even towards those who have committed great harm; knowing that small roots of virtue are significant; having no fear towards the world hereafter; the impermanence of all conditioned things; the absence of self in all phenomena; and that Nirvana is peace.

    death once tracked me, now after receiving the Dharma, i turn to clearly see death, willing to face what comes. i am glad to know the “eleven”, and continue practice to perfect them.
    i would like to read this whole sutra. many thanks, cheryla
