Without Exception

13494939_1228038450561240_4912039889762220476_nAll of us come to the Dharma with various degrees of wrong views, previous tendencies and conditioning, false identities, afflicted emotions, and extremely sensitive egos. It takes time and effort to leave them behind, or at least transform them sufficiently so that they are no longer a gross impediment on the path to enlightenment.

If we practice sincerely, the process will eventually lead to purification. It can neither be hurried nor controlled. For each one of us, it will be different; it will have its own rhythm and pace.

Dharma teachers employ four strategies to help us on the path, following the instructions of the Buddha Shakyamuni: generosity, encouragement, instruction, and example. They rely on Buddha Nature, which is present in all sentient beings, without exception.
