Those who, while walking, sitting, standing, or sleeping,

recollect the moon-like Buddha,

will always be in the Buddha’s presence,

and will attain the vast nirvana.

Tashi, what is meant by “the moon-like Buddha”, please?

    • Tashi Nyima says:

It’s a peculiarly Indian expression. The sun shines during the day, when there is ample light. The moon shines at night, when it’s dark. Setting aside modern scientific conceptions, it is not difficult to understand how the moon came to be considered more virtuous, as it illumines the darkness.
