The Abyss

their eyes of wisdom are blind; their legs of merit are broken.

They are without a guide; they have no walking stick.

Again and again, they engage in wrong conduct

—they are about to plunge into the abyss.

 

May they be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.

May I protect my mothers from all negative actions and their consequences.

May I lead them out of cyclic existence, this place of torment.
