This is not my self

1493250_603615973027122_351703871_nAll form is impermanent,

feeling is impermanent,

perception is impermanent,

mental construction is impermanent,

consciousness is impermanent.

This impermanence is suffering.

What is suffering is not-self.

What is not-self should be seen as it really is,

with correct understanding, in this very way:

“All this is not mine, it cannot be mine;

this I am not, this is not my self.”

—Buddha Shakyamuni
