In contact with the objects of the senses,
my karmic seeds, impressions, and formations
produce paired feelings and emotions:
attachment for the pleasant,
aversion for the unpleasant,
indifference for others—
bless me to know that all are of one taste!
Upon meeting my parents,
may I desire for them, as I do for myself,
the greatest good—
bless me to see in me and them true purity,
true self, true bliss, true permanence.
May I always recall the Well Gone Thus, the Well Come,
the Everlasting, the Ground of All, the Noble Lord,
the Blessed One, the Buddha, who is Suchness.
Remembrance of the Buddha is the mind of enlightenment:
there is no safer refuge, no greater purpose,
no more earnest confession, no rejoicing more full,
no entreaty more candid, no purer dedication.
The Holy Name is verily the ground,
the path, and the stainless fruition.
