8 Benefits of the Meditation Posture

  1. Stable and comfortable legs restrain jealousy.
  2. An elongated spine restrains indifference.
  3. The chin slightly tucked in restrains pride.
  4. Leveled shoulders restrain anger.
  5. The arms loose at the sides of the torso restrain grasping.
  6. The hands resting on the lap —right over left— restrain over-exertion.
  7. The tip of the tongue resting against the front of the palate restrains dullness.
  8. The eyes half-closed with unfocused gaze restrain agitation.
